22 years ago our organization was founded with the idea that our members be agents of change within their campus and community, while exemplifying our five tenets; Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, Leadership, and Multiculturalism. As we continue to grow we can't help but stop and admire how far we have come. Theta Nu Xi continues to grow and create an environment that is not only diverse but inclusive. Together we are stronger, together we are ONE.
During this weekend we reassessed our strategic planning and voted on very important legislation that will enable our organization to move forth in creating a more inclusive space for its members and worked on creating attainable goals and solutions to ensure sustainable chapters. Our chapter president, Dayra Nuno, shared that, "the best thing about this weekend was the allyship training we received. It is important we start having conversations about what it means to be an ally and why it matters. It is time we begin to dismantle oppressive systems withing our campuses and organizations".
We still have much growth ahead of us, and convention always takes us a step closer to our goal. We can't wait for #TNXCON20 in Las Vegas, Nevada!
